F1b Cavachon Temperament, Size, Lifespan, Adoption

F1b Cavachon is a backcrossed breed of a Cavachon. It can be obtained by crossbreeding an F1 or first-generation Cavachon backward with either of the parent breeds. They are mostly backcrossed with a Bichon Frise to obtain a hypoallergenic and low shedding dog breed. They are 25 percent Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and 75 percent Bichon Frise. They are more like Bichon Frise by appearance and traits. As they are low-shedding dogs, they require regular grooming to stay healthy and sound. They can be found easily in pet shops and online breeders. Always research if the requested dog is suitable for you and your family.

    F1b Cavachon Temperament

The temperament of an F1b Cavachon is a mix of both parent breeds. They are non-aggressive dogs that do not bite at all. They have loving personalities that are suitable for kids. F1b Cavachons are more like Bichon Frise, which means they are friendly with children, other pets, and strangers. They are not welcoming to everyone but also they are not harsh. Like Bichon Frise, they bark a lot that could be a problem for neighbors. They are suitable to live in an apartment and small house. They are not good guard dogs as well. You can always keep them as a protector of the family.

    F1b Cavachon Size

The size of an F2b Cavachon is usually small because of the small size of Bichon Frise. They are mostly dependent on the size of parent breeds. The size of these designer dogs is predictable according to the size of the purebred parent breed. On average, an F1b Cavachon stands 12 inches to 14 inches in height from the shoulder. Their weight ranges from 12 pounds to 18 pounds. The F1 Cavachons are a bit larger in size than F1b Cavachons. They can be kept in the house without assigning them a special place. They can be carried for shopping and walking.

    F1b Cavachon Lifespan

The lifespan of an F1b Cavachon is from 10 years to 15 years. This life expectancy is average for a small-sized dog breed. They are comparatively healthy dogs that are less prone to health problems. Still, they need to be taken to a vet regularly for better health. They may get some acquired diseases as well. As they are low shedding dogs, they require proper grooming sessions to stay healthy and sound. Sometimes a designer dog may meet death before time because of accidents, mishaps, inappropriate diet, and exercise. Normally they die a natural death after completing their lifespan.

    F1b Cavachon Adoption

The adoption of an F1b Cavachon is recommended for those who need a dog for company and protection. These dogs are a combination of these two traits. They are very good family dogs but they are also known as very good protectors. They always make their owner aware of any negative activity around them by non-stop barking. These dogs are suitable for an apartment lifestyle. They also require attention and care and proper grooming. If you are a busy person and do not have time for your pet, these canines are not a good option for you. You can adopt them easily from a pet shop, rescue center, shelter home, and a well-known breeder.
