An F2 Labradoodle is the second generation of Labradoodles. These dogs have two F1 Labradoodle parents. F2 Labradoodles are half Labradoodle Retriever and half Poodle. So these dogs are highly similar to F1 Labradoodles. It is very difficult to identify which genes are dominant in F2 Labradoodle. They may have a straight or wavy coat which may be non-shedding or shedding. Breeders do not breed F2 Labradoodle abundantly because of the similar characteristics of both F1 and F2 Labradoodle. Their qualities, coat type, and shedding are almost the same. F2 Labradoodles are friendly and intelligent like F1 Labradoodles. They are social dogs.

    The size of F2 labradoodle varies according to the breed. A miniature F2 Labradoodle may have a weight ranging from 15 to 25 pounds with an average height of 14 to 16 inches from the shoulder. The average weight of a medium F2 Labradoodle is in the range of 50 to 65 pounds and their average height ranges from 17 to 20 inches from the shoulder. In the case of a standard F2 Labradoodle, their weight may range from 55 to 95 pounds whereas their average height ranges from 21 to 24 inches from the shoulder. According to the size, miniature F2 Labradoodles are the perfect lapdogs.

    The lifespan of an F2 Labradoodle is similar to the lifespan of an F1 Labradoodle. F2 Labradoodle may live up to 15 years. There are multiple factors that may affect the overall lifespan of these dogs. If proper care and attention are provided to them, these dogs may live a little longer than their average lifespan. The main factors that may affect the lifespan of F2 Labradoodles include injury, exercise, diet, accidents, and genetics. There are no specific health issues associated with these dogs, that’s why no special care is required. Proper grooming is required to enable them to live healthy and longer.

    The F2 Labradoodles are not common dogs. They are not bred usually because of high-level similarity to F1 Labradoodle. These dogs can be adopted from rescue centers and shelter homes. At these adoption spots, the dogs are comparatively cheaper than the pet shops. There are some online websites where breeders bred your desired dogs on demand. The cost of F2 Labradoodle is comparatively higher on the websites. Newly bred dogs are easy to train but in the case of F2 Labradoodle, rescued dogs are also easy to train because of their intelligence. This is the plus point about these dogs when compared to other breeds.
