Corgidor is a mixed dog breed that is obtained by cross-breeding a Labrador Retriever and a Welsh Corgi. It is not a common mixed-breed and still loved by everyone. The parent breeds of Corgidor are huge in size. These designer dogs are not produced intentionally but accidentally came into being. There is no detail of history available regarding this hybrid breed. They always fulfill their duties and stay loyal to their owner. Welsh Corgi is a watchdog and inherits such traits to Corgidor as well. These mixed dogs are calm and intelligent. They are easy to train because of their intelligence. 


    Corgidor Temperament

    The temperament of Corgidor is loving and affectionate. They are great family pets. Like Welsh Corgi, they are very good watchdogs. They are not vocal dogs but they bark continuously if they see any threat to their family. These dogs are patient and show love to kids. They play and protect children from any negativity around them. They are intelligent dogs and can be trained easily. They learn lessons within no time. You do not have to struggle for their training. Sometimes, they may become stubborn like Welsh Corgi but their stubbornness can be overcome by developing a strong bond with them.

    Corgidor Size

    The size of a Corgidor is medium to large because both of its parent breeds are huge in size. The size of a Corgidor may vary between medium to large according to the dominant size of parent breeds. Male Corgidors may stand taller than female Corgidors. Also, the weight of a female Corgidor is slightly less than the male dog. The average weight falls between 40 pounds to 55 pounds. Talking about height, the male dogs stand 13 inches to 20 inches in height from the shoulder whereas females stand 12 inches to 18 inches in height from the shoulder. 

    Corgidor Lifespan

    The lifespan of a Corgidor is like other large-sized dog breeds. They live minimally up to 10 years and maximum up to 13 years or maybe more. The life expectancy of a mixed breed is usually longer than purebred animal breeds. There are multiple factors that affect the life expectancy of a dog. These factors include proper diet, exercise, mishaps, socialization, and accidents. If they meet any accident or suffer a mishap, they may die before completing their lifespan. Overall they are healthy dogs but still, require regular visits to a vet. The maintenance of their health is necessary. 

    Corgidor Adoption

    The adoption of a Corgidor is recommended for people who own a family. These dogs are friendly with kids and other pets so, if you have kids and pets in the house, they are a perfect fit for you. These canines get along with strangers as well. They are the protectors of the family. If they find any negativity around, they start barking and alarming their owner. They can be adopted from a rescue center, pet shop, shelter home, and a reputable breeder. Adoption from a rescue center is always recommended. Always make sure you are adopting a healthy pet from a breeder.
