F1 mini Goldendoodle is the first-generation mix of a purebred Poodle and a purebred Golden Retriever. These hybrid dogs are 50% Golden Retriever and 50% Poodle. F1b mini Goldendoodle is the backcrossed first-generation mix Retriever or a Poodle. There are greater chances of backcross breeding with a Poodle. These canines are 25% Golden Retriever and 75% Poodle. This percentage shows a greater genetic contribution of Poodles in F1b mini Goldendoodle. The word “mini” in their name shows their small size. In the first-generation Goldendoodle, the purebred parents are small in size to produce a mini dog, and also in the case of an F1b mini Goldendoodle, the purebred parent dog will be mini.

    The size of both F1 and F1b mini Goldendoodle are unpredictable. As their name indicates they are mini (small) in size but the accurate size cannot be predicted before breeding. The size of the parent breeds is the main factor that affects the size of a mixed dog. On average, both these mini canines are measured in the range of 13 inches to 20 inches in height from the shoulder. The size of a female dog will be slightly smaller than the size of a male dog. When a mini F1 or F1b mini Goldendoodle is measured for weight, they weigh in the range of 15 pounds to 30 pounds.

    Both F1 and F1b mini Goldendoodle are mixed dog breeds and live a longer lifespan as compared to purebred dog breeds. They live a minimum of up to 10 years and a maximum of up to 15 years. Their life expectancy can be even expanded to 16 or 17 years if they are properly fed and taken care of. These canines may suffer from genetic health conditions that are inherited from parent breeds. They are more prone to the health problems found in Poodles. These health issues should be maintained to establish a healthy lifetime connection with them.

These dogs need grooming because of low shedding. So, you have to spend on their grooming every fortnight. Before the adoption of these dogs, make up your mind to spend on their grooming.
