F1b Havapoo is a backcrossed hybrid breed of a Poodle and a Havanese dog breed. They are obtained by crossbreeding a first-generation or F1 Havapoo with a purebred Poodle. They can be backcrossed with Havanese as well but Poodles are preferred. These dogs are 25 percent Havanese and 75 percent Poodle. They are bred intentionally to obtain a hypoallergenic and low shedding dog with the major characteristics of a Poodle. These designer dogs are more like Poodles because of their greater genetic contribution. They are smart and energetic like Poodles. Their low shedding coat requires regular grooming. 

F1b Havapoo Temperament

F1b Havapoo designer dogs are more like Poodles both by temperament and by appearance. They are highly energetic dogs who like to play with kids all the time. They are goofy and curious like Poodles. They are delicate canines and feel comfortable playing with kids. They are friendly with everyone around including other pets and strangers. They may be vocal sometimes but it can be overcome while training. They are very obedient like the Havapoo dog breed. They are also non-aggressive and ideal for families. They are intelligent like Poodles and their intelligence is beneficial in their training. 

F1b Havapoo Size

The size of an F1b Havapoo is dependent on the size of parent breeds. If a large-sized Poodle is used in crossbreeding, the resultant dog will also be of large size. If a toy Poodle is used for breeding, the F1b Havapoo is expected to weigh within the range of 7 pounds to 13 pounds. When they are measured from the shoulder, height is in the range of 8 inches to 12 inches. They are small in size and perfect for kids. They can be kept in the lap for hours. So, they are also called lap dogs because they like to cuddle most of the time. 

F1b Havapoo Lifespan

The lifespan of an F1b Havapoo is in the range of 10 years to 14 years. It is an average life expectancy for a small-sized F1b Havapoo dog. They are overall healthy because there is less probability of getting genetic diseases in F1b Havapoo. They are hypoallergenic and low shedding dogs. So, they require regular grooming to stay fresh and healthy. They may get some acquired diseases later in life, so they should be taken to a vet regularly. They are choosy in their diet because they require high-quality dry fruit for better health. Over-feeding may lead to serious health issues and a shorter lifespan. 

F1b Havapoo Adoption

An F1b Havapoo is recommended for those who have moderate to severe allergies. These dogs are hypoallergenic and low shedding so they are suitable for moderate to severe allergies. If you are a busy person and cannot spare time for their grooming, these canines are not for you. F1b Havapoo is a high-maintenance dog breed that requires extra time from your routine. These dogs can be adopted from a pet shop and a reputable breeder. These two options are expensive but you can adopt them from a rescue center and a shelter home at a low cost.
