The Coopworth sheep are a domestic sheep breed. These domestic sheep are a dual-purpose breed. The Coopworth sheep are broad size animals. The head of these sheep is also prominent in size. The Coopworth sheep originated from New Zealand. A team of scientists developed the breed of these Coopworth sheep. From 1950 to the 1960s, the Scientist took the two different breeds of males and females. The male was Romney, and the female was Border Leicester. According to the scientists, this breed was developed by cross-breeding these two breeds. In 1970 the Coopworth sheep was seen for the first time in the United States. Nowadays, the population of these Coopworth sheep in New Zealand is not enough when we compare it to 1950. They like to live in large areas, especially green areas.

The Coopworth sheep are available in the white color, but some of their individuals have patterned skin with black spots on their skin. Their standard color is white. They have short ears, and they are beautiful. They have large heads. Their legs are thick and short with a straight back. They have wide necks as compared to the other sheep. These sheep live a longer lifespan. Their life expectancy may vary from 10 years to 12 years. They are quiet and not talkative.

The wool quality of these sheep is excellent. The length of their wool may range from 5 inches to 6 inches. Their wool protects them from winter diseases and keeps them warm to a great extent. Their fleece is too warm for us. We can make clothes and other warm things with it. The Coopworth sheep's wool is also heavy. Their wool's weight may vary from 10 lbs to 12lbs. Their wool's shelf life may vary from 11 months to 12 months.

The meat of these sheep is good for our health. Coopworth sheep meat is rare and cannot be found commonly in the market. Their lamb meat price may vary from 200 dollars to 250 dollars compared to their adult meat price, which may range from 150 pounds to 185 pounds. Their meat is only available in the United States.
