Miniature poodles, like other poodles, are very intelligent dogs. Because of their intelligence, they can be trained easily. They are happy dogs and can change anyone’s mood within a minute.

They are very clever and can be used as a circus dog. Their high-level intelligence requires the mind to be occupied most of the time. Sometimes these dogs may develop small dog syndrome in which they consider themselves alpha dogs.

These dogs need socialization at the early stage of life. This helps them to have a sound body and mind. Miniature poodles are very friendly dogs with other dog breeds and humans as well.

If these do not get enough physical activity or exercise, they may develop some abnormal behavior problems. If these dogs are not socialized enough, they may start barking unusually.

The size is all that differs in all poodles. The average height of an adult miniature poodle is in the range of 11 to 15 inches, i.e. 28 to 38 cm. Talking about their weight, an adult miniature poodle falls between 15 to 17 pounds, i.e. 7 to 8 kg.

All the sizes of Poodle are characterized by their height but not by their weight. From the shoulder, the miniature poodles must be more than 10 to 15 inches.

Health problems:

These dogs may face some genetic health problems that mainly include eye problems and heart problems. Cataract and progressive-retinal atrophy are common eye problems that may lead to blindness.

In the case of heart problems, they may suffer from immune-mediated hemolytic anemia. Other than these, they may suffer from epilepsy, heart disease, diabetes, skin allergies, runny eyes, and ear infections.

Miniature poodles may suffer from premature greying of hair.

The miniature poodles are perfect to be kept at apartments. They remain calm if they get enough exercise. They will not even require a yard for physical activity. They can be taken out on a daily walk. You can play games with them or just spend time with them. They are very obedient dogs. A little training can make them well-mannered animals. They have a life expectancy of 12 to 15 years. This lifespan is enough to spend quality time with them.
