The other names of a scoodle are Scottish Shoodle and Scottiepoo. This beautiful hybrid dog is obtained by breeding a Poodle and a Scottish Terrier. They are medium-sized designer dogs. By temperament, they are very affectionate and loving. Their intelligence is what they are famous for. They are always eager to make loyal companions. These dogs are groomed easily because of the short coat on their body. Like Poodles, they are low shedders and hypoallergenic in nature. They are suitable for people having moderate to low allergies. These beauties are available in different colors including brown, black, grey, with silver or black-colored markings.

    The temperament of a Scoodle is affectionate and loving. They are full of energy and have a playful nature. You can never question their loyalty. They always form an unbreakable bond with their owner. They are protective by nature. So, once they make a bond with their owner, no one can keep them back from your protectiveness.     The size of a Scoodle is medium. These medium dogs are adorably beautiful. The size of a male Scoodle varies from the size of a female Scoodle. The average height of a male Scoodle is in the range of 8 inches to 12 inches whereas their weight is in the range of 10 pounds to 20 pounds. Talking about female Scoodles, they stand 7 inches to 11 inches in height from the shoulder whereas their weight varies from 9 pounds to 18 pounds. These medium-sized dogs are easy to carry around on trips and tours. You can easily carry them out for a walk and to parties. 

    Scoodle Adoption

    The adoption of a Scoodle is suitable for those who are family people. If you have a busy routine and always traveling to other cities, then these beauties are not for you. Contrary to it, if you are a family person, you can spare time for your pet, then these dogs are for you. Not only this, but you also have to spare time for their grooming. You have to trim their coat on a weekly basis. If you are highly sensitive, then these dogs are not for you. They are suitable for people having low to moderate allergies.     Scoodle Lifespan

    The lifespan of designer dogs is comparatively longer than the lifespan of purebred dogs. On average, they live from 12 years to 15 years. After completing their lifespan they may die a natural death. Accidents and other mishaps can also reduce their overall lifespan. 12 years to 15 years is the perfect lifespan for a medium-sized dog. Overall all designer dogs are comparatively healthier than their parent breeds. The same is the case with Scoodles. Some health issues or diseases can be inherited from their parent breeds. These health problems include hip dysplasia, hypothyroidism, Addison’s disease, Cushing syndrome, and epilepsy.
