F1b Newfypoo Temperament, Size, Lifespan, Adoption

F1b Newfypoo is a first-generation backcrossed dog breed. This dog breed is obtained by backward cross-breeding of a first-generation Newfypoo with any of the purebred parent dog breeds. When an F1 Newfypoo is backcrossed with either of the parent breeds, an F1b Newfypoo is produced. They are mostly bred with a mini Poodle parent breed (not necessarily). F1b Newfypoo, if bred with a mini Poodle, are 25% Newfoundland and 75% Poodle. Their appearance and traits are more like Poodles. They are lighter but taller than the first-generation of a Newfypoo. They have a non-shedding curly coat like Poodles.

    F1b Newfypoo Temperament

The temperament of an F1b Newfypoo is a mix of both parent breeds. If they are back-crossed with a mini Poodle, then they are mostly like them. They are placid dogs like Poodles and like to play and run. Like Newfoundland dogs, they like to take a long nap right after doing some physical activity. They are social dogs and help to increase the social circle of their owner as well. They are good with kids and other pets in the house. Training of F1b Newfypoo is important at the early stage of life. They should be guided to bark less and stay low while greeting any stranger.

    F1b Newfypoo Size

The size of an F1b Newfypoo is dependent on the size of its parent breeds involved in crossbreeding. As they are mostly backcrossed with a Mini Poodle, so their size is small. Their weight cannot be known before breeding. The average estimated weight of an F1b Newfypoo is in the range of 25 pounds to 50 pounds. When they are measured for their height, they stand 16 inches to 20 inches from the shoulder. Male F1b Newfypoo is comparatively larger than the female F1b Newfypoo dogs. Their size is suitable to be kept in lap for hours and play with kids.

    F1b Newfypoo Lifespan

An F1b Newfypoo lives a shorter lifespan as compared to other small-sized dogs. It is believed that purebred dogs have a comparatively shorter life expectancy as compared to mixed dog breeds. This is not justified in the case of F1b Newfypoo dogs because they live a minimum of up to 8 years and a maximum of up to 10 years. They may also suffer from health issues that are most commonly found in Poodles. Health maintenance is important in these canines to have a healthy relationship. Other than health, accidents, mishaps, inappropriate diet and lack of exercise can also shorten their lifespan.

    F1b Newfypoo Adoption

The adoption of an F1b Newfypoo is recommended if you have other pets in the house. They are friendly with kids and strangers. In the case of strangers, they need to be trained to show less enthusiasm while meeting them. Their training is critical and requires your attention. If you are a family person, these dogs are perfect for you. Their adoption can be done from a pet shop, reputable breeder, rescue center, and shelter home. Adoption from a rescue organization is always recommended and preferred ethically. Before adoption, make sure your pet is healthy. If necessary, perform some tests as well.
